Important: Candidates should be able to read and understand technical drawings. Preference to candidates with verifiable work experience, trade certificates and those who can demonstrate practical knowledge. International project exposure is a plus but not mandatory.

Expanded Role Descriptions & Typical Site Responsibilities

Electricians: Tasks include installing and terminating power and lighting circuits, setting up distribution panels, routing cable trays and conduits, performing insulation and continuity testing, coordinating with commissioning teams for final handover, and following local electrical standards. Candidates should be familiar with testers, megger, clamp meters and proper earthing practices.

Plumbers: Installation and testing of potable water systems, drainage, sanitary fixtures, and stormwater systems. Work with GI/CPVC/PVC/HDPE piping, ensure leak-free joints, and perform pressure tests. Experience with plumbing layouts on high-rises or commercial developments will be beneficial.

Duct Fabricators/Erectors/Insulators: Fabricators work in workshops or on-site to cut, form and assemble duct sections. Erectors handle site installation, alignment, sealing and hangers. Insulators apply appropriate thermal or acoustic insulation materials and must comply with fire-stopping requirements where applicable.

HVAC Technicians: Skilled in installation, start-up and preventive maintenance of split units, packaged ACs, chiller systems and VRV setups. Capable of diagnosing faults, performing evacuation and charging refrigerant, and assisting with chiller plant operations.

Supervisors & Team Leads: Plan daily work, manage labour, ensure safety & QA/QC, read BOQs and drawings, co-ordinate with site management and other trades, and maintain job progress documentation.

Common Responsibilities Across Roles

  • Adhere to site HSE policies and use PPE at all times.
  • Work from technical drawings, specifications and BOQs.
  • Maintain daily logs, materials requisition and basic progress reports.
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical and mechanical teams for clashes and handover.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

The minimum expectation for trade roles is 2–5 years of practical, demonstrable site experience in the specified trade. Supervisory roles generally require 5+ years in the trade with prior leadership responsibilities. Trade diploma, ITI, or equivalent certifications are preferred. Candidates with recognized safety or operator certificates (e.g., forklift license) should bring copies.

Desirable skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret construction and MEP drawings.
  • Basic knowledge of material standards and quality checks.
  • Familiarity with standard tools and testing equipment.
  • Good communication and team coordination skills.

Selected candidates will be provided with role-specific offers where details such as visa, travel, accommodation, contract duration and salary will be clarified. These terms vary by employer and position. In general, employers sponsoring overseas placements manage visa processing through legal channels and provide guidance on pre-departure medicals, police clearance and other mandatory documentation.

If you have prior international experience, bring proof (previous visas, contracts or employer references) as this may expedite selection for certain roles.
